Product Description

FAD+, also known as Flavin adenine dinucleotide (CAS 146-14-5) is an adenine-containing enzymatic redox -or flavin- cofactor. Apollo Scientific supplies FAD+ to R&D, Academic institutions, and manufacturers across the UK and USA.

FAD's fluoroscence can be used to study energy-dependent intramitochondrial redox potential. As a coenzyme form of vitamin B2, it is commonly used in conditions presenting a vitamin B2 deficiency.

It can be used as a redox cofactor by flavoproteins such as:

  • succinate dehydrogenase (complex)
  • α-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase
  • apoptosis-inducing factor 2 (AIF-M2, AMID
  • folate/FAD-dependent tRNA methyltransferases
  • N-hydroxylating flavoprotein monooxygenases

As one of the UK’s most established chemical distributors and manufacturers, you can trust Apollo to deliver the solution you need. We can can facilitate bulk-orders, manufacture and distribution of FAD+.
