It can be used as an electrophilic partner in a variety of palladium-catalysed cross coupling reactions and as an electrophilic reagent in a variety of chemical transformations. It has also been used in the synthesis of heterocyclic CBP/EP300 inhibitors for the treatment of cancer,[1] and in the synthesis of HCN2 modulators for the treatment of chronic pain.[2]
